STAY SAFE !!

National Capital of INDIA! Delhi is full of such news everyday... A woman is raped every 18 hours in Delhi!
Everyday average stats in local news, 15 murders, 3 deaths, 5 thefts, 2 kidnappings and 2 rapes in past 24 hours... That too in a state where the Chief Minister is a woman (Sheela Dixit). Congress has ruled around 14 years in Delhi. Even the Congress Chief is a woman (Sonia Gandhi) Still Delhi is the most unsafe place for woman...!! what fate does India carry?
Delhi should be given the tag of the official rape capital of India!! A girl cannot roam in delhi freely even after 6pm...she needs to have some male and a car to be on a safer side...else her rape is confirmed!! I wont be wrong to call it a state of mean ,self-centered people!

Anyways no matter how many posts are written,rallies are carried out,petitions are signed..the schedule will follow-an fir will take a few days to register ,then 5-6years to get the court's decision and finally a seven year imprisonment for the guilty!! but is that really enough for violating a woman's dignity and her fundamental right of roaming freely?? Moreover, everything will be forgotten in the upcoming days and again voices will raise after one more such incident takes place...again blogs wud be written ,petitions would be signed then again everything wud be back to normal!! in such cases what can we at our level do to avoid the trauma?

FOR ADULTS: You are the ones who shape your child's personality ,you are the ones who your child looks upto . At your level you can do a lot -

1. When we see some teenagers eve-teasing in public places, we usually tend to ignore them...why? cant someday your child too be in the same place as the helpless girls!! STOP THEM, SCOLD THEM IF NEED BE, RAISE YOUR VOICE SO THAT ON-LOOKERS CAN HEAR YOU AND SUPPORT YOU !!

2. Dont ask your daughters not to go out, teach your son to behave like a gentleman with girls..this statement is a little controversial but leme ellaborate: the rape criminals have not left out a any kind of age group of girls-from a 2year old to a senior citizen they have covered them all !! moreover they did not even bother to see if she is in skimpy clothes or in a burkha..!! (you can surely relate this with my post for girls below)

3. When your child approaches you about some wrong being, take it up positively. Let your child know that you are on her/his side. Most of the times in cases of molestation,assaults or even rape, kids are threatened by the guilty...or sometimes the kids consider it their mistake in such cases n due to the fear of getting scolded they dont approach parents. so parents please make it a point that atleast every alternate day you have a heart-to-heart conversation like a friend with your kid just to know the child is fine.

4. PROVIDE THE CHILD WITH INFORMATION AND PROTECTIVE MEASURES TO BE TAKEN IN SUCH CASES...from their school days itself educate them about identifying the different touches , make them understand about their private organs and that no one is allowed to touch them!! parents are seen shying off from talking this with kids...but PREVENTION IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN CURE!!

FOR GIRLS/WOMEN:

1.Your parents always want your good! it is right on their part to tel you not to go out etc etc. dont get angry on them, understand the situation from their point of view and try to know why are they stopping you!!

2. You as a girl have to protect yourself ! always make it a point to ROAM AROUND IN A GROUP (may it be friends or family)

3. RESTRICT YOURSELF TO PUBLIC PLACES ONLY!! (eg restaurants, known movie halls, gardens etc) avoid going to places you are not sure of, or are quiet places which you have never been before!! even if you tend to go be sure you are with trusted people.

4. If you tend to go for dinner with friends or anywhere after 7pm, do give your parents all TRUE DETAILS about who all would be there for the dinner, where you would be going, what time would you head back home,phone details of atleast two friends who would be there with you etc...DONT GET ANGRY IF THEY ENQUIRE ,just answer all questions calmly as they do this all out of the immense love they have for us!!

5. WEAR DECENT CLOTHES (here decent clothes do not refer to punjabi suits or saris , but decent clothes refers to something that can be publicly viewed !! a jeans and top ,leggings and tunics, 3/4th pants and tops, shorts are also decent clothes) shorts* do not refer to hot shorts n the almost peep-a-boo type ones, they refer to knee length!! AVOID WEARING ONE PIECES unless you are with a huge group of people or traveling in a car! wear clothes you will be comfortable in..cause at the end its not how much u expose that counts,but its about all the good time you have!!

6. If you are a victim of eve teasing in a public place, dont try to rush out of that place ...raise your voice if people are around.

7. DONT WALK ALONE ON QUIET ROADS specially when you are angry ,lonely etc If you need some time all alone -stay at home ,hear soothing music or watch your favourite movie !!

8. If ,god-forbid, some one tries to assault or molest you or even rape you...a girl is physically not as strong as a boy...but being a quick thinker would help a lot...

-SCREAM ON THE TOP OF YOUR VOICE TO LET PEOPLE KNOW
-try to escape from that surrounding as and when you get a chance to.
-It will be very difficult to over-power these people,but no matter how huge the
person is...their private organs will always remain sensitive....so one kick on it
and u can probably save yourself.

i have come across cases where not much can be done and you really cannot escape the horror!! so follow the first 7poInts really well to avoid such situations.

lAST BUT NOT THE LEAST, make it a point to let your partner or husband know that you are not some one below him but you are an equal...also when you have two kids -a girl and a boy -TREAT THEM AS EQUAL...teach the boy to respect women,..cause in the end a guy who treats his girl like a princess has surely grown in the arms of a queen!!!

TERRORISM STRIKES MUMBAI
26th November 2008

A day of panic,a day of blood,a day of tears,a day of pain,a day of death of innocents,a day of sacrifice,a day of TERRORISM-26th november 2008 had all of this!! Just 3hours before this incident occured,along with a group of friends,I was near The Trident.I did not lose any dear one,but still i dont know why my heart pains for all this and so just felt like sharing up....
It was a bright winter morning that day.Everything seemed just so beautiful.Day was the same for everyone.Hectic life went on as usual,but no one ever imagined that this time the attack would be on the financial capital of India-MUMBAI!Eight prime locations were targetted.Attacks occured in South Mumbai at Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus[CST] ;the Oberoi Trident ;Taj Mahal Palace and Tower ;Leopold Cafe ;Cama hospital[a woman and children's hospital] ;the Orthodox-Jewish owned Nariman House ;the Metro Cinema ;a lane behind the Times of India office building and St.Xavier's College ;Mazgaon[mumbai's port area] ;and in a taxi at vile parle.This attack started on 26th nov'08 and went on till 29th nov'08.A total of 170 people died in these attacks and many were injured.9TERRORISTS were killed and only one was caught alive-"AJMAL KASAB"-THE Baby faced-DEVIL...There arise so many questions in my mind,which are always left unanswered:
1.Is Mumbai so unsafe that terrorists enter and OPEN FIRE at prime locations killing so many innocents?
2.What were the so-called-politicians doing?partying?
3.Why did policemen die inspite of wearing BULLET-PROOF jackets?
4.Why inspite of having guns,pistols,policemen have to use their lathis?
5.Why is KASAB still ALIVE?on what grounds?aren't the pictures provided by the media enough to prove him guilty?
6.Why were 33crores spent on Kasab within a year just to keep him alive?
7.Why was a lawyer even appointed and why are there hearings?he was caught red-handed.wasn't that enough!!
8.How come KASAB still has the guts to do nautankis in the court by spitting on the camera and demanding to go to america?
9.Why is the entire road near arthur road jail kept shut causing inconvenience to the citizens?does it imply that the police authorities cant take CARE of KASAB and are scared he might run away?
10.Every coin has two sides-the people who lost their dear ones in these attacks-how come they are sitting still?the criminal who killed their loved ones is sitting there alive with all facilities and smiling...doesnt ur blood boil with anger?
11.Is a life sentence or hanging an appropriate punishment for Kasab?

I know the useless people sitting out there in the government have no answers,but i tried finding them in my own way through research,through peers etc

-the terrorists entered mumbai across the arabian sea from karachi in pakistan,hijacked the trawler 'Kuber',Killing the crew of four and forcing the captain to sail to mumbai.The first events were detailed at around 8pm acc.to IST[indian standard time]on 26th nov'08 when 10men in inflatable speedboats came ashore at two locations in colaba.The fishermen there questioned them as to who they were but they were asked to mind their own business.The fishermen at that time itself did report to the policemen but as always,because of their chalta-hai attitude the police did not response or look much into it.Had they taken appropriate actions at that time itself,such a disaster would have been avoided,and many innocents would have been saved...but hats off to the police!!
-Politicians came along with filmmakers at the victimised spots so that they make a movie...aaarrrghhh...Asses!!this resulted in the resignations of Chief Minister-VILASRAO DESHMUKH, deputy CM-R.R.PATIL,minister for home affairs-SHIVRAJ PATIL..
-CORRUPTION is so prevalant...the politicians just cant mend their ways..how greedy are they for money!!inspite of eating so much money how hungry are they yet!!the officials,politicians all are responsible for these.the amount that is made available for the best of jackets,guns is not spent there...instead half amount goes into their pockets and pistols,guns,jackets are bought which are duplicates..and obviusly defective..
-when i see kasab...i go mad with anger..WHY IS HE STILL ALIVE??what more proofs does the government want.
-33crores on kasab!!had they been given to the needful,poor people..they would have their tummies filled atleast once a day..why the heck were they spent on kasab?is our government so foolish?
-kasab is making the authorities dance to his tunes..by demanding!!
-The punishment of hanging and life sentence is so mere in front of what kasab has done..he should be left in public..all tied up...n leave the people on him who lost their dear ones..their anger would be so much that he had get the best of punishments ever!
Its been almost 2years my friends.It pains to read of 26/11/08 even today..eyes become moist..anger surrounds my mind even today and especially towards the government these days as to what are they waiting for..tarikh pe tarikh??lives of thousands of people were affected by these attacks...Many brave officers lost their lives saving others..Many women,children too lost their lives.Men too..the heartless CREATURES didnt even leave the one who gave them water...behind Cama hospital,they barged into a sweeper's home and asked for water..as soon as they got it...they shot the sweeper in his house itself...he had small children around 5years of age..and a wife, a mother!!the actual incidents that took place near cama hospital which no one is aware of are potrayed beautifully in the book "TO THE LAST BULLET" written by Vinita Kamte,wife of late.Ashok Kamte,an IPS officer who sacrificed his life.If ever you get a chance do read this book.its about the struggle of a loving wife who wanted to know what exactly caused her husband's death...:(:(
Every year we rise up only on 26th november that we will fight for this,we dont want a repeater of 26/11,we lite candles,the papers are full of 26/11 news that day...but what after that??each one gets busy in their life and again the next year we remember 26/11...are we so careless???

A CHANGE IS REQUIRED AND IT WILL BE BROUGHT UP ONLY BY US-the citizens...we cannot forget the hereos of 26/11......


I myself had visited Taj after the attacks..there was pain in the air there.,i also attended the rally near gateway of india..a sense of unity surrounded that atmosphere...these are some pics i had clicked:

SCHOOL LIFE-the golden days of my life

My school,my second home...i have had the best of memories at this beautiful place..my school being the oldest girls school in Mumbai [now 178 years old],stands proud at a prime location surrounded by a rare sight in mumbai...that of greenery all around!
School life was the most disciplined,obedient,fun filled phase of life...oh!how i jus miss it soo much!:(:(...teachers just like mothers, friends just like families!i joined the school in Jr.KG...n for twelve long years was associated with it..it never really bugged me to go to school in these years...i used to luv it.the manners,the thoughts that skul embarked in me r just so inseparable..i did get a chance to serve back to my school when i ws elected as d head girl secretary of the school in my 9TH grade..but i sumhow realised whatever school had done...it ws close to imposible to return back!my friends, my EVERYTHING...they were always der for me..dey wer jus so caring,jus so beautiful,so understanding...how i love them...n im sooo glad that i have them even TODAY whenever i need them..they are d ones i can always rely upon n i knw dey wudnt ditch me ever...they are my friends of 14LONG YEARS,some of 5years as well!!they were the most beautiful individuals i ever came across...n m thankful for that!
The Upper hall,lower hall,basketball court,new wing hall,canteen,classrooms,lab,library[wich w hardly visited :-P],teachers[who w troubled so much],the Gwalior trip,the mahabaleshwar picnic,MY FRIENDS,THE mali dadas,the teasing,eating under the last bench while teacher was teaching[:-P],1-DAY TRIPS,the mere fights,the drawing books,craft books,sports day,farewell day,annual day,fun fair,cultural programme,teachers day,science day,,.....n soooo many things more...they wont just get out of my memories...they will be cherished always..forever and ever,..my 1st blog just cudnt get better joting points about the most beautiful,innocent stage of dis short life...it comprised of 12long years of my life...n dey wer jus so elegant,fun-filled,punishment-at-times,scoldings...but at the same time,there was CARE and CONCERN in our teachers tone...there was a motherly feeling with them...unlike college!!:(:(
I still remeber the last day of school..my heart filled with all d past memories...unable to express wat i felt that time...how painful it was!!bt now its been 3years w left skul...bt i constantly still miss dose superb days of my life..they can never b missed out..even todAy when i pass by skul i go back to the old times..thinking y cant everything jus remain the same...but then jus hold my head up high,blink the tears away n say,,,ITS LIFE!!....n CHANGE IS THE ONLY PERMANENT THING IT GIVES!!:(:(:(....
